The International Association of Home Staging Professionals® (IAHSP®) Foundation, a charitable foundation of the IAHSP Association, completed another Worldwide Staging Service Week (WWSSW) where all over North America, Accredited Staging Professionals® (ASP®) and Accredited Staging Professional Masters® (ASPM® ) set aside personal business and gave back to their communities. WWSSW has been happening since 2005 when IAHSP Founder, Barb Schwarz, The Creator of Home Staging®, had the vision to give back to communities and individuals in need, serving from the heart and helping others with the art and creativity of home staging. Worldwide Staging Service Week was officially the week of September 8th with some projects completed in subsequent weeks.
Through local IAHSP Chapters efforts, beneficiaries of the WWSSW included the Ronald McDonald Houses all over the US, Women's Shelters, Abused Children's Shelters, Homeless Shelters, Children's Care Homes, Military Families, Animal Shelters, Senior Centers, and Food Banks where ASPs "Staged" from painting to re-flooring, bringing in Decor and refreshing worn elements, and even obtaining new furniture for these facilities. In some instances, donation of food items, clothing, and toiletries were done for families in need. More than ever this year the dedication of the months of planning for this worthwhile event was felt as the economy has taken a toll on the donations to groups in need.
IAHSP Chapters all over North America selected the group or individual to help for this year's event, and then worked for months to plan and organize the actual WWSSW Staging. IAHSP Chapter members and ASPs secured donations of time, money, and materials in order to complete the Staging project, and also received money from the IAHSP Foundation to support their efforts. At the Annual IAHSP Home Staging Convention, a live and silent auction helps raise money earmarked for the WWSSW activities.
